hey.

just wanna tell you that it's okay that you're not blending in with the crowds, or doing whatever the majority are doing. If you do not agree with whatever that they're doing, just do things your own way. Everybody have our own lives to live, and how we want to live it, it's our choice :)

I'm not saying that we should all be pms and screw everything up just because you like it.

but rather, follow wherever your intincts want you to go and do it :)

if you will make it big, you will.

if you are meant to be, you will be.

This world that we live in are made up of so many different kinds of people.

There are parents who brought you up.

There are teachers who impart you knowledge.

There are friends who come and go.

There are friends who you'll never forget :)

There are critical people who help you grow.

There are lovers who bring you happiness.

There are people you dislike.

There are people you really like.

who will leave no trace and who will leave a footprint behind, i guess we kinda know.

I think, therefore I am.

Our thoughts and actions mould who we all are, and at the end of the day, the only person you need to answer to, is yourself :)

Hi, nothing much, just to share something with all of you :)

you know i have this friend who's studying in australia right now, doing bio-med. She just went over this year, and she has this blog which she updates regularly.

I like how her style of writing, and how she looks at things.

recently, i find one of her post very inspiring, and how much we have missed out so thought i'll just post it up here to share with all of you :)

btw, her boyfriend's is cm, and they've been together for 1 and a half years, still going strong :)

Suuunny day, sweeping the clouds aaaway!

Haha I love days when I wake up and it somehow feels like it's going to be a good day :) And daylight savings is over so melb is now 2 hours ahead instead of 3. Which also means that my biological clock woke me up at 7 plus am instead of 8 plus which is awesome because it makes me feel less of a pig. Haha.

I'm loving this life. The whole australian experience. It's like there's so much more to life to see and enjoy. Like finding beauty in the simplest and most natural of things that we usually take for granted. I blame the Singapore society for this. Haha.

But seriously, i find that so many years of living in a fast-paced city has transformed everyone into busy, kiasu, materialistic and superficial beings who dont have time to stop and admire anything other than good grades, pretty clothes, and man-made perceptions of beauty. Heck, there isn't even such a thing as beauty anymore in a city, people are rated on a scale of 'hotness' and everything is lost in concrete blocks, pulsating lights and the rumbling of vehicle engines. It doesn't matter if you're a beast in slutty clothing, people will still want to bang you.

Stupid society. What happened to all the ladies who used to carry themselves with grace and class? When was it that being a 'decent' girl went out of style and being a skimpily dressed party girl, the object of men's lust became cool? I guess I'm just old-fashioned but moving forward is not always a good thing. We lost so many treasured values and morals that have worked for generations of people.

I'd rather be an average girl but have one person look at me and think I'm the most beautiful and precious person in his eyes than to go all out to project myself in a way that would make the general public agree that I'm superficially attractive. I still might not understand why in the world I mean so much to cm but it gives me a warm tingly feeling, and it makes me feel more special than just knowing it was because i was a pretty girl on the street.

Enough emo talk! Going grocery shopping again soon. goodbye!

probably because i am not studying so hard, not scoring so well, and things are not as smoothly as i imagined it to be recently.

But she's kinda right, that there is so much more to life than just grades and comparing results with my friends, trying to win all those PRCs.

I suddenly feel like I missed out so much.

I missed out life.

I'm not saying we should all just play and enjoy life and not study cos that's WASTING your life.

but probably I should not study for the sake of studying but to study because i love it and find joy in it?

Instead of rushing out webassigns, tutorials, and hoping every lecture in the world ends as early as possible, maybe I should just learn to enjoy it.

there may not be beautiful beaches in Singapore like in australia, but i believe there's beauty in this city life of ours too and i hope we can all look around and find what's real beauty in our eyes.

I hope we do not lose ourselves in this busy life of ours trying to blend into our surrounding but remain who we are.

i have this feeling inside me which i had been feeling since some time ago.

i dunno if i am being too sensitive or are people just too obvious, but this feeling is getting rather strong these days.

through words, through actions, through observations, through whatever that i can, the message is being constantly received over here at my side.

i dunno how to describe it, but this thing is slowly moulding me into being someone that i do not like, and a feeling of a tit for tat.

it's like revenge.

but it's because they did it on me, and hence im doing it onto them.

but the thing is, i only think and talk about doing it, but i never ever get down to doing it.

i ask myself, how can friends so close turn out to be like that?

so different from how we used to be.

friends now become ji jiao, become proud, become "i have more important things i need to do".

I am trying hard not to change, i am trying hard to blend in, i am trying hard to giving as much as i can, because i believe it takes 2 hands to clap so as long as i put in effort, things would be fine.

but.

i feel tired.

i am so sick of realizing that you don't care at all.

friends now no longer update each other on what is happening to us.

even when we do meet up, it feels like friends think that "I am physically there, it is enough. There is no need to tell them about what i'm doing, if they wanna know, they'll ask"

The friendship feels empty.

like everybody is trying to hide something from each other, nobody is open to anybody, and everybody has this secret they wanna share but just dun feel like sharing until people ask.

only takers, no givers.

where are all the initiative and enthusiasm?

where are all the energy?

why does everybody feel so emotionless and bored?

why is everybody so freaking ging!

where is the LOVE in friendship?

i don't get it, and im too tired to find out the answer.

for now, i'll just be like friends - and wait.

Hai i guess probably like only 1 of you is reading this blog frequently and this person happens to be me.

so i just wanna rant here.

you know, everything that i said that night, i mean it. especially the big part about the other girl.

ok people so here's the itinerary for sat

9am --- meet at boon lay mrt to take either free shuttle or take 179

we need to get off at B15 Innovation centre (near sch of humans and ss) so joseph you can take your own time cos we're good friends and we'll always wait for you even if you get lost~

10am -- humanities and social science talk @ tan chin tuan lecture theatre(for those interested in econs, chinese etc)
11am-- communications studies (same location no need to move)
12pm-- engineering @ LT3

1pm--- LUNCHBREAK!

2pm-- mathematical sciences @ LT8
3pm--business @Lecture theatre 2A
4pm-- go home!

ok so people pls take note of the lecture theatre that you're supposed to go to because i am utterly confused by the freaking unclear and complicated map. hopefully everything will be easy to find cos they're near each other, but with the crowds i duno what will happen. but im optimistic about it though. cos i know we have each other(:

please leave your interests for the NUS talks (on the tagboard) that we're gng to on sun so that i can plan the itinery also.. to make things more efficient, you can tag earlier to make things easier for me but of course i'm glad to make changes for you all MY LOVES.

please do not be late on sat. we will not leave without you though. although we have to fight the crowds at ntu & we need to find our way around, i believe that the most important thing is that we're going together for the open house and it's the precious time spent together that we must all enjoy. for joseph, jinquan and yiqing, i understand that you have a tendency to be late, but dun worry, we understand so we will definitely wait for you all~ just try your best to reach as early as possible.. leaving 2 hours before is probably great but we know that's waaaay too early so gauge your time accurately(:

You know, last night i just had the weirdest dream EVER.

i went for haidie audition today~

haha i was so nervous laa!
i sang ah mei's 你是爱我的 first verse and chorus.
my audition is at 6.30pm and i had a hard time finding the place~
they said it was at some red building and we ended up at MAS building LOL.

but in the end we still found the building and luckily we're not late haha.

in the lift~
we went in and the person told us to write down our name, and then handed us the form which we sent to them with our photos attached to it.

this is mine~

they then told us to go to room G or sth to wait...
when i went in there was only like one guy sitting in one corner emoing, listening to some music haha. didnt dare to go over and talk to him lol.

That is the guy. LOL.

they told us to wait in the room and slowly more people came in until there was about 10 over..
i was one of the first few and joseph is after me.

i was so nervous i tried to make myself more relaxed by talking but it didnt help much lol.
finally it was my turn~

i went in the room and i saw 3 judges sitting behind a long table.
2 male and one female, with the female sitting in the middle.
On one side they have a camera man and the other a man to control the music (if you bring minus one track but no i didnt lol)

there was also the other girl standing at the door to pass you the mic.
abit slack kinda job but she's rather cute LOL.

so the whole thing was sth like this.

judges: please introduce yourself (abit irritated kind)
me: hello im seowjin and im currently waiting for A levels results.

J: okay what song u gonna sing?
me: 你是爱我的
J: you may begin.

(thruout the whole thing the judges look like they cant bothered with you and is pissed with you lol)

me: *took a deep breath* (which was v obvious lol)

*sing*

you know because i was trembling i held the mic with both of my hands which look quite ugly and abit like yang zong wei LOL.
and the worse thing was..........

i 忘词 laa! LOL.
but luckily i qingchang-ed, so i can sing at my own pace lol.
but you can hear that my voice is douing and sounded v v nervous.

after the whole thing the judges asked me "你会跳舞吗？"

LOL i was shocked when i heard that haha.
so i said "不会"

judges: 那你可以出去了

waaa 也太现实了吧！lol.

but i really dunnno how to dance laa unless you count me dancing chinese dance dancing.
the whole thing lasted for like less than 2 minutes and im out of that place.
super fast can.
and most of the time singing my eyes was shut (cos i was abit tired) and opening sometimes to look at the judges haha.
i think 2 judges was like folding their arms and looking very pissed at me with their head tilted to one side like they're saying "are you done?!" lol.

and the other judge was busy scribbling something on his paper thruout the whole thing lol.
hai. 音乐人。 haha

then i went out to wait for joseph~
the whole thing just ended like that.
so fast laa.
and i hate my jingzhang and trembling of hands.
i really have to overcome tt man.

hai. but wait till they call me ba.
which i think they wont.
but just in case............................ i better go practise some dance.

you know. recently i dunno what im doing.
it seems like im wasting my life away.

since im back from nanjing, i feel kinda lost.
the whole nanjing trip was so fun and so fast.
it's like suddenly one week passed by already.

and exactly on that day i came back, haidie called me to go for audition.
and i didnt have the time to really prepare what im gonna sing.
im actually kinda worried.
what shud i sing?
shud i qing chang or use minus one?

i dunno. so many things.
and i also gotta look for a job soon.

i told my parents that and they tell me to stay at home and rot away.
and said i dun have to go out and work and blahblah.

now yiqing is away in nanjing, jinquan is in the ns, most of us are working.........
seems like we'll have very little time spent together.
kinda saddening.

i dunno.

i dunno what to do now.

i feel lost.

if you have chosen one of these..aww.sorry, you have to make another choice..

-try to avoid popular songs unless you want to clash with others

FOR THE JUDGING SYSTEM:

-the rest will be the judges while one is singing
